LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Davenport University men's golf team opened its 2020-21 campaign on Saturday and Sunday in the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational at Kearney Hill Golf Links. The Panthers placed 14th out of 21 teams with a two-day score of 610 while
Ryan TenBrink was their top individual finisher in a tie for 43rd out of 116 golfers.
TenBrink turned in score of 151 (+7, 73-78), just three strokes off the top 25. The next-best finisher for Davenport and competing for the first time in his career was
Robert Starkey in a tie for 59th with a 153 (+9, 77-76). Also competing for the Panthers were
Ryan Kauppila in a tie for 63rd with a 154 (+10, 81-73),
Noah Bridgeman in a tie for 72nd with a 155 (+11, 81-74) and
Brandon Bodis in a tie for 84th with a 158 (+14, 78-80).
Next up on the schedule, the Panthers will be at the Findlay Spring Invitational on Monday-Tuesday, March 29-30. The event will be hosted at the UK Club - Big Blue Golf Course in Lexington.
