CHICAGO, Ill. – Davenport traveled out of state for the first time this season, running in the Lakefront Invitational hosted by Loyola University of Chicago. The race took place on Montrose Beach.
 
The men's team finished 13^th out of the 31 teams that ran in the gold race. Thomas VanSlembrouck ran a solid race, finishing in 26:07 and taking fourth place. Joey Fox took 83^rd place with a time of 28:11. TJ Moore finished in 28:17 and took 87^th, while Brad Hotovy finished in 28:30 and took 99^th place. Les Miner placed 101^st with a time of 28:32. Hunter Nelson placed 111^th with a time of 28:54.
 
 
 
The women's team placed 23^rd out of the 31 teams in the gold race. Leading the way was Morgan Posthuma, who finished in 19:46 and took 23^rd place. McKenna Evans finished 136^th with a time of 22:55. Autumn Hancock took 143^rd with a time of 23:06 and Britney Medcoff finished 160^th with a time of 23:45. Avrice Beach, in her first meet this season, ran 23:47 and placed 161^st.
