GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers remained local as they competed in their second meet of the 2019 season. Davenport ran in the Knight-Raider Invitational at Riverside Park, just outside of downtown Grand Rapids. The women ran a 5K and the men an 8K.
The women's team finished in 12
th place and
Morgan Posthuma led the way. She ran the 5K in 19:49.3 and finished in 13
th place.
Aliza Hengesbach ran for the first time with DU and finished in 21
st with a time of 20:03.2
Autumn Hancock finished with a time of 23:15.7 and took 81
st place, while
Britney Medcoff took 90
th place with a time of 24:12.0.
McKenna Evans (96
th place) and
Erin Dorn (107
th place) finished the race in 24:48.5 and 26:48.4
The men's team finished ninth out of the 21 teams.
Thomas VanSlembrouck led the charge for Davenport, clocking a time of 26:18.3 and finishing in second place individually.
TJ Moore finished in 46
th with a time of 28:39.0 and
Trevor Luznak in 51
st with a time of 28:55.9.
Joey Fox clocked a time of 29:12.8, taking 57
th place.
Brad Hotovy (59
th place) and
Brendan McCoy (78
th place) finished the race in 29:19.0 and 30:11.0.
