MUSKEGON, Mich. – The Panthers remained in Michigan for their final regular-season meet of 2019. The team competed in the Jayhawk Invitational, taking place in Muskegon at the University Park Golf Course.
The men's team took third place out of the eight competing squads. Davenport was led by
Thomas VanSlembrouck, who finished first out of the 101 male runners in the race with a time of 25:30.26. In the process, Thomas broke the school record.
Joey Fox finished 18
th with a time of 27:00.11.
TJ Moore clocked a time of 27:32.03, taking 28
th place.
Les Miner placed 36
th with a time of 27:54.48 and
Brad Hotovy placed 43
rd with a time of 28:07.34. Finishing in 50
th was
Trevor Luznak with a time of 28:31.74.
Hunter Nelson finished in 59
th with a time of 28:49.33 and
Brendan McCoy finished in 64
th with a time of 28:59.39.
The women's team placed ninth out of the 11 teams.
Morgan Posthuma recorded the fastest time for DU, placing 12
th with a time of 19:35.72. Freshman
Julianna Wilson, running for the first time since the Calvin meet, placed 49
th with a time of 20:59.44.
Autumn Hancock finished in 80
th with a time of 23:04.79 and
Avri Beach finished in 83
rd with a time of 23:24.80.
Britney Medcoff placed 85
th with a time of 23:44.30.
McKenna Evans had a time of 25:19.93 and finished in 95
th.
