WESTVILLE, Ind. – Davenport traveled to Indiana for the GLIAC Championships, hosted by Purdue Northwest. This is the third straight year competing in the GLIAC meet for Davenport. The men's and women's teams went about against some tough competition, as Davenport finished last.
Thomas VanSlembrouck made some noise, earning All-GLIAC Second Team honors, placing 19
th place individually. The men had a score of 293 and finished 11
th, while the women had a score of 336 and finished 12
th. Both VanSlembrouck and
Morgan Posthuma set school records with their times.
VanSlembrouck earned all-conference honors with a time of 25:10.40, finishing in 22
nd place. He broke the Davenport record in the 8K.
Brad Hotovy finished in 27:32.4 and took 94
th place.
TJ Moore finished in 98
th with a time of 27:43.7.
Joey Fox and
Les Miner finished 100
th and 104
th, Fox had a time of 27:44.2 and Miner a time of 28:06.6.
Brendan McCoy had a time of 28:12.2 and took 106
th place, while
Hunter Nelson had a time of 28:35.2 and took 108
th place.
Trevor Luznak finished in a time of 28:39.9.
The women were led by Posthuma. She finished in 50
th place with a time of 23:27.5 and broke the Davenport record in the 6K.
Julianna Wilson took 81
st place with a time of 24:53.8.
Autumn Hancock finished the race in 27:36.6 and placed 110
th, while
Avri Beach finished right behind her in 111
th with a time of 27:45.6.
Britney Medcoff finished 113
th with a time of 28:21.8 and
Erin Dorn in 116
th with a time of 29:38.4
