ALLENDALE, Mich. - Emma and Isaiah Schafer represented Davenport University at the 2021 NCAA DII Outdoor National Championships over the last few days and perfomed very well for the Panthers.

Emma placed eighth in the heptathlon which garnered First Team All-American honors in the event. She scored 4,949 points and her best of the seven events was placing third in the shot put with a throw of 11.75 meters.

Isaiah placed ninth in the discus on Friday which earned him Second Team All-American in that event. He had his best effort on his third attempt with a throw of 51.06 meters. Isaiah also competed in the shot put and claimed fifth place to earn First Team All-American plaudits. It is the best individual finish at outdoor nationals for a Panthers since joining the NCAA. His throw of 18.13 meters came on his fifth attempt.
