Esports Week 5 Updates

Overwatch
Davenport Esports Overwatch joined the varsity TESPA single elimination tournament on November 2nd. The first team forfeited by no show, so the Panthers walked away with their first win. Moving to round two, the UCLA Esports team swept the Panthers for a 3-0 loss ending the run for Davenport.
On November 4th, Davenport had its preseason match against Concordia University - Texas and the University of New Mexico. Davenport defeated both teams and currently sits at 2-0. Davenport plans to scrimmage against Western Michigan Esports and potentially Ohio State in preparation for the invitational this weekend.

Rainbow Six: Siege
The Rainbow Six team won week 5 in the UCL competition by forfeit.

Apex Legends
The Davenport Apex Legends Team is on a hot streak, putting up another 88 points in week 5 of the Indy Gaming League. Averaging 18 eliminations a match and three first-place wins in their public matches, Davenport holds their third place ranking for another week. The final week of the regular season takes place this Friday at 6 p.m. before moving into the playoffs.
 
League of Legends
This week, the Panthers League of Legends team competed in their next-to-last GGLeagues match against Team Infernal also known as Lawrence Tech University. Davenport League of Legends walked away from this match with the victory and secured their spot at the GGLeagues finals at Western Michigan University on November 16th. Davenport also received a win in Collegiate Star League due to the opposing team forfeiting their match.
 
Rocket League
Starting off hot on Monday, DU's Rocket League won round one of the NACE playoff tournament against CASC and won the series 3-1 advancing to round 2. Thursday night, the Panthers played St. Clair in round 2 of the NACE playoffs. The Panthers started of strong taking a 2-0 lead in the series before falling in a reverse sweep. The NACE conference has concluded for Davenport Rocket League for the time being. Our next match in CSL and will be against GVSU Team B who is looking to host them at The Lab at Davenport University sometime this week.
