CSGO Varsity:
Â
CS:GO had a really solid week. We pulled through convincingly beating University of Pittsburgh 16-5 with a substitute. That shows that even with a sub, our team still pulls through against all odds. With this win, we are currently 4-1 in NACCS. This past weekend CSL Playoffs started. We had our first match as the lowest seed in the bracket against Michigan. We stuck to our strategies and won convincingly at 16-9. Our NACE match that was supposed to played this week was postponed to the beginning of March due to the opposing team having players testing positive for COVID-19. This upcoming week we play the University of California San Diego in CSL Playoffs and Purdue University in NACCS. Look to our social media outlets for updates on when we are having these matches casted!

CSGO Academy:
Practice on Monday and Wednesday was focused on offline practice and reviewing demos. Friday we played 2 scrims: one versus Oakland University where we lost 16-8 on Mirage, and one versus Texas Tech where we lost 16-10 on Inferno. This week we are going to take a look at what happened in those games and what we can do to improve.

Overwatch:
Â
The week started on Monday with a scrimmage against an open division team that will remain nameless. Friday we played against a new competitor: DeSales University Esports. The match was a clean 3-0 victory for the Davenport Panthers, which propelled them into the Saturday game. Saturday came around and we played two separate games. Our first competitor did not show up resulting in a win for DU. Coker University was the second game of the night. Davenport had a smaller than normal roster for this match where they experimented with putting Kenny Bennet on Main Tank. Despite this hiccup, Davenport had a 2-0 victory to close out the week with three wins in total.

Smash Bros Ultimate:
Â
Davenport's win streak continues! Match one of this past week was met with some initial hardships, but DU's Smash team managed to reverse the situation on its head! Sean, the team captain of DU's smash team, was the one to do it in spectacular fashion. He managed to take down everyone on Ferris's team single-handedly with it making him one of the few players in the league to do so! The second match, it being against Concordia University, was not as one-sided as the previously mentioned match. It came down to Spencer cleaning up the last of what remained of Concordia's team with his hard work ending up keeping the streak alive. Next week's matches will be the last of the qualifiers with Davenport going up against Michigan State University's and Oakland University's teams. This means the weeks that follow will mark the start of the elimination bracket. Does Davenport have composure to best the other colleges when the stakes increase? Keep up with the stats and times of the upcoming matches on @TechChasegg's twitter page, and as always go Panthers!
