Rocket League Varsity:
Â

Next week on Monday, the Panthers face off against Northern Arizona (0-1) in the META Elite division. CSGO Varsity:
Â
CSGO Varsity had a tough week. After seeing three months of consistent wins in all of our leagues, we lost to Michigan Technological University in a super close match. The final score was 16-14 and MTU is arguably the best team in the nation. After this defeat we are seeded 3-1 in NACCS, and still holding onto our #4 nationally ranked spot. We also played Shawnee State in NACE and won 16-0 not letting even a chance for defeat. NACE is looking like a clean sweep this year until we hit the finals versus MTU. Within the next week brackets will come out for CSL playoffs, with which we have a good chance of winning.

CSGO Academy:
Â
This week CSGO Academy participated in two scrimmages against Oakland University and West Virginia University. The team lost both scrimmages 16-6 in round scores. Both scrimmages were also on Inferno. This is a marker that the team has work to do on that specific map moving forward. Individual practice will be a point of emphasis going into next week as it is something that continues to hold our team back as a whole. Aim and mechanics will be the primary focus of individual practices.

Smash Bros Ultimate:
Â
A new win streak has been set in motion this past week for DU's Smash Team with both matches being undoubtedly in the Panthers favor! Aquinas's team was first and was closed out, with three stocks to spare, by Spencer! The second match was an even more one-sided with Spencer taking all but one stock single-handedly from Central Michigan's team! It was then closed out by Smithers making it an eight stock lead over CMU. I think you can tell who the MVP of the week was. These polarizing wins over both of these teams marks the start of a new beginning for DU's Smash Team. The imminent runback with Oakland and Michigan State is now looking to be one to see, so be sure to keep tabs on @TechChasegg on twitter to see when DU takes them on! This upcoming week's matches are of course on Tuesday with the stream that they'll be streamed on announced on @TechChasegg's twitter page. Be sure to tune in to show your Panther pride and of course the eagerly awaited runback with both Oakland and Michigan State!

Rainbow Six Siege:
Â
Davenport University Rainbow Six team wins in a decisive 14-1, 2-map victory over FHSU (Fort Hays State University) in week 5 of their FACEIT Collegiate League. This sends the team to 2-3 after their disappointing forfeit from last week due to scheduling problems. The team is hoping to take this momentum forward into their last week of the regular season and finish 3-3 to make the playoffs. Team Captain Alex "SpandyRangler" LaPratt said, "This is the win that we needed. After losing two in a row and then having to forfeit, we were down bad. This win gives us a confidence booster and hopefully this will carry into next week." The team had an outstanding performance from all players. "There is still much to do to prepare ourselves for potentially making playoffs. There are a lot of good teams in the Central conference that are from Michigan so there might be some rivalry happening soon," said Nick "ShyGuy" Cihlar.

League of Legends:
Â
This week was a down week for League of Legends. After finishing our CSL season with a positive record, we missed out on playoffs. The team is currently practicing and working on their team fundamentals as they await the beginning of their GGLeagues season which kicks off on Thursday, February 18th. On that date Davenport LoL will be taking on the University of Jamestown as a part of the GGLeagues Division C (Eastern Division) season. The team is ready to rock and roll. Look out for updates regarding the team's performance in next week's update.
