MIDLAND, Mich. – After upsetting Grand Valley State in the First Round of the GLIAC Tournament Davenport faced arguably their toughest test of the season. The Panthers went head to head with the number one seed Ferris State University. The regular season match between the two teams resulted in a 7-2 win by the Bulldogs back on Wednesday, April 11. The Panthers weren't able to upset the Bulldogs as they lost 5-0 in the Semifinals.

Doubles Competition
The Bulldogs won all three doubles matches to give themselves a 3-0 lead heading into singles.
Marc Lerch and
Juan-Louis van Antwerpen paired up in first doubles and lost 8-1 to Stew Sell and Nur Adim Iswan. For only the second time this season
Remy Johansen and
Michael Digby competed in doubles together and fell 8-6 in third doubles.
Jonathan Bulmer and
Matthew McClurg lost 8-4 in second doubles.
Singles Competition
The only two Panthers to finish their matches in singles were Bulmer and Digby. Bulmer fell 6-4 and 6-0 in fourth singles, while Digby lost 6-2 in both sets. Lerch, van Antwerpen, McClurg, and Johansen all went unfinished in their singles matches.

Davenport has one more match remaining in the GLIAC Tournament. The Panthers will play Northwood University to determine who takes home third place in the tournament! That match will start around 8:15 tomorrow morning.
