GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After the men's tennis team hosted Aquinas on Thursday, and the women faced Ferris State on Tuesday, both teams will be in conference action this weekend as they travel to Lima, Ohio to face Northwestern Ohio. Both team will be looking to rebound from losses earlier this week. Davenport will face Northwestern Ohio on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Lima, Ohio for the final road matches of the regular season for both the men and women.

The women come into the weekend with a record of 8-8 in the season and moved up to 15th in the NAIA coaches' polls after they beat Indiana Wesleyan last weekend. This season the Lady Panthers have faced two NCAA DI opponents, along with facing four NCAA DII programs, all from the GLIAC. Last time out for Davenport, they fell behind, 3-0, after doubles, and tried to battle back against Ferris State, but the Bulldogs held of the late Panthers rally as they handed the Panthers their second straight loss, 5-4.

On the men's side they will continue their three game stretch of WHAC contests as they face a top-ten team in No. 7 Northwestern Ohio this weekend. In the last match for the Panthers, they lost to crosstown rival Aquinas, 5-3. After trailing, 2-1 after doubles, Davenport fell short against the Saints as the dropped their second straight match. This will be the fifth time the Panthers face a team ranked in the top-25 this season, and in the first four matches against ranked foes, Davenport is 1-3.

The Panther will travel to Lima, Ohio to face Northwestern Ohio on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
