INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Both the Davenport men and women's tennis squads traveled down to Indianapolis, Ind., for the Knight Classic hosted by Marian (Ind.). On the first day of the classic, the Panthers faced Cardinal Stritch, and DU was unable to comeback after both teams trailed after doubles, as the men lost 5-4, and the women dropped their match, 6-3. Davenport will conclude the Knight Classic as they face the host squad, Marian (Ind.).
Â
After the women's team dropped all three doubles matches, Davenport tried to make a comeback in the singles portion of the match, but after the Lady Panthers took two of the first three singles matches, DU was only able to grab one of the final three matches as they lost the match, 6-3. Since returning from Florida, the women's team has went just 2-3 and dropped their last two matches.

The Panthers tried to battle back in singles as they tied the match, 4-4, heading into singles number six but the Panthers were unable to grab the fifth and deciding match as their two match win streak was snapped, after a 5-4 loss to Cardinal Stritch.
