ADDISON, Ill. - The men's bowling team traveled to the USBC Sectionals over the weekend for the three-day event at Stardust Bowl. On Friday, it was individual scoring of six games to determine who would advance to nationals. DU's top finisher was Brandon Hyska who placed 36th with a 191.3 average. Hyska rolled three games over 200 with a high of 211 in the third game. Logan Smith placed 41st with a 191 average and had a high of 204 in the second game. Andres Baculi placed 74th with a 180.3 average and rolled a high game of 227 in the second game. Nick Luther placed 77th with an average of 179.7 and had a high of 228 which was the team's best game of the day.

The team bowled 40 baker games including 20 on Saturday and 20 more on Sunday. Davenport was 14th after the first 20 games and then improved to 11th in the final standings out of 19 teams on Sunday. A score of 224 was the best on Saturday and 215 was the best team score on Sunday.
