MARION, Ind. - The outdoor season began on Saturday as the Panther track and field teams went to the Polar Bear Invite hosted by Indiana Wesleyan. 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

• Alexandra Eby placed second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.42.
• Mackenzie Brigham placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 16' 9.25".
• Lisa Wangler placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 159' 5" and set a personal best.
• Colin Grady finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.97. 
• Noah Dooley placed second and Corbin DeJonge finished third in the 110-meter hurdles. Dooley finished with a time of 15.14 and DeJonge crossed the line at 15.37.
• Isaiah Schafer picked right up where he left off during indoors by placing second in the shot put with a mark of 57' 10.5" which was a NCAA DII provisional mark. He hit that on his sixth and final toss. Schafer also finished seventh in the discus with a throw of 147' 5".
• Noah Evers placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 49' 11.25" and set a personal best.
• Claude Ockert brought home fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 175' 11".
