ADRIAN, Mich. – The women's hockey came back from the Thanksgiving Break to take on, not just one of the best teams in the Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association (CCWHA), but one of the best in the country in the Adrian Bulldogs. The Bulldogs were number-3 coming into the weekend and riding a three-game win streak.
The Bulldogs used the home ice to their advantage and peppered the DU goal early and often. Despite the plethora of shots, Davenport only trailed by two after the first period. However, Adrian was able to put up four on the scoreboard in the second period, and three more in the third to coast to their ninth consecutive win over the Panthers.

Power Play: DU (0/1) | AC (0/1)

The first period saw the Bulldogs came out flying, earning all sorts of opportunities in the Davenport zone. Just passed the eight-minute mark of the game, Meagan Coleman put the Bulldogs out in front with her first goal of the season. Just over five minutes later, Taylor Murcek potted her second goal of the season, but even though the Bulldogs outshot the Panthers 25-4 in the first period, the score was only 2-0.
That changed, however, in period two. Kirsten Horney scored her third of the season to make it a three-goal game before the halfway mark of the period. The score remained the same until the Bulldogs had a late surge towards the end of the frame. Freya Holferty scored for the first time this season with a little over five minutes remaining in the period. That was followed by goals from Celina Clark and Erika McDonald in the final two minutes, and Arian would take the 6-0 lead into the final period.
Adrian would close out the game with three more goals from Madison Maloney, Huntyr Bosher and Tanya Candido. The Bulldogs would win their fourth game in a row by a final score of 9-0.
