Grand Rapids, Mich. -  The Davenport University Dance Team has signed their first two additions to the 2020-21 team and is looking for future talent at their upcoming Fall Clinic.

On Tuesday, October 5, Coach Kylene Geyer signed both Alyssa Hamlin of Davison High School and Makayla Fisher of Lakeland High School. "The signing of both of these athletes really sets the tone for the continuation of this program as we are losing four very strong seniors this year." Geyer stated.

Both of the incoming freshman touched on their decision to continue their education and passion for dance at Davenport. Fisher talked to her decision, "I chose Davenport University because I love the positive vibe of the campus and for the amazing nursing program. I am also beyond excited to live in west Michigan and be a member of the dance team!" Hamlin also excited about this journey, "...I am so thankful for this opportunity to be a part of an amazing team, with an awesome coach! I am looking forward to meeting all of the dancers!"

The Dance team is still actively recruiting for future seasons. They are hosting a clinic on Sunday, November 10, for any dancer looking for dance in their collegiate path.
