GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After returning to action last weekend, the Davenport D3 hockey team will face off against rival Hope in a home-and-home series this weekend. Davenport was swept last weekend by Central Michigan by a combined score of 17-1. The Panthers snapped a seven game scoreless streak after a goal from
Cody Olsen on Saturday. The weekend series will start on Friday in Holland, Mich., before they return to Patterson Ice Center on Saturday night.

The Dutchmen enter the weekend with a 17-3-3 record on the season and are coming off a split against Aquinas last weekend. Hope is ranked second in the North Region, is led by Caleb Morgan who is one of two players with at least 30 points on the year. Andrew Obrien is the other player with 30 point as he leads the team with 17 assists and Morgan leads the team with 16 goals. Eric Lipon has played the majority of time net, as he has compiled a 2.24 goals against average and a .931 save percentage.

Davenport snapped a seven game scoreless streak last Saturday as
Cody Olsen was able to find the back of the net for the Panthers. Olsen leads the team in points with four and goals with three, while
Josh Riemersma leads the team with two assists on the season.
Kelton Maskell has appeared in 14 games this season and has a record of 0-10-0 on the season to go with a save .832 save percentage.
