FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The D3 Hockey team was feeling good after their third win of the season against Indiana Tech on Friday night, and looked to end their regular season on a night note with another sweep of the Warriors.
 
However, things did not go to plan. The Panthers trailed by a pair in the first period, but were able to come back to tie the game in the second. The game went to overtime, where the Warriors had a lucky bounce go into the DU net to win their second game of the season.

NOT THE BEST START
 
DU wanted to have another great start to the game, but the Warriors had other ideas, at least Sean Stutzman did. After scoring on Friday night, Stutzman scored twice in the first period to give Indiana Tech a 2-0 lead heading into the second period.
 
TURNING THINGS AROUND
 
Even though they fell behind, DU was able to bounce back in period two. With a little over three minutes left in the in period, Chance Bradley scored his fifth goal of the season to put the Panthers on the board. Just a couple minutes later, with exactly one minute to go in the frame, JT Warren scored his second of the season to tie the game at two.
 
UNLUCKY BOUNCE
 
After neither team scored in the third, the game needed extra time to determine a winner. In the final minute of overtime, Stutzman took a shot that bounced off the glove of DU's Barrett Rosser, and it went up into the air, and fell into the goal to give the Warriors the 3-2 win.
 
The Panthers end their 2021 season with 6-5-1 record.
