FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The D3 Hockey team was feeling confident after one of their biggest offensive performances on Friday. They looked to complete the weekend sweep Saturday afternoon against the Indiana Tech Warriors.
The Warriors put up another great effort against the Panthers, however DU was able to outlast the home team to pick up their second weekend set of the season.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Aiden Dion had another great game offensively, as he picked up a goal and two assists in the win.
Cam Hofstetter helped with two assists, with
Barrett Rosser earning his fourth win of the season with a 41-save performance.
JUMPING OUT IN FRONT
Unlike the game on Friday, the Panthers found the back of the net often in the opening 20 minutes.
Carter Osborn scored his fifth of the season less than two minutes into the period. A couple of minutes later,
Dillon Bond found the net for the second time in as many games to put DU up by two.
Kevin Crawley scored his fourth of the season, and within seven minutes of the game, the Panthers were up by three.
WILD FINISH
After Mason Oetting scored the lone tally in the second period to put the Warriors on the board, Drew Wilson scored for Indiana Tech to make it a one-goal game. However, less than 20 seconds later, Dion scored his second goal of the weekend to put the Panthers back up by two.
George Hangas potted his second of the season late in regulation to give Davenport a three-goal lead. Kurt Jensen scored in the final minute for Indiana Tech, but it was not enough, as the Panthers completed the sweep with a 5-3 victory.
WHO'S NEXT?
The Panthers will come right back next weekend with a home-and-home against Calvin University. The Knights are currently 0-4 on the season, and are in the middle of a weekend set with Adrian College.
The Panthers are 14-12-1, but the Knights have won three of the last four meetings.
Game one of the weekend will be at Eagles Ice Center on Friday, March 19
th, with puck drop scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
