CSCAA Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) named 1,479 swimmers and divers to the Scholar All-American Team for the 2019-20 season. The award recognizes students who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and were invited to compete at their respective national championship. Honorable mention student-athletes similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 as well as a "B" time standard or competed at an NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier. The 1,479 selections were drawn from 282 programs. Davenport was represented by
Lauren Bockheim (pictured) on the first team followed by
Emily Bolt,
Lacey Mirandette,
Lexis Mirandette,
Victoria Postmus, and
Emma Wallis as honorable mention honorees.
Bockheim (3.52 winter/spring GPA - business), named a CSCAA All-American on April 8, would have competed in the 200 back if not for the event being cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Wallis (3.67 - marketing), Davenport's other national qualifier, was selected to participate in the 400 IM, 200 IM, 500 free, and 1650 free. Postmus (3.60 - medical case management) earned a "B" time standard in the 400 IM while Bolt (4.00 - social work), Lacey (3.93 - nursing) and Lexis (3.93 - nursing) competed in the Pre-NCAA Qualification Meet.
