Women's Swimming & Diving Garners Spring Scholar All-America Recognition

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected 721 programs from 424 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2021 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring grade point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes.

CSCAA Executive Director, Greg Earhart, mentioned the efforts of coach head coach, Justin Vasquez, noting that "Coach Vasquez consistently produces winners in the pool and classroom and this year is no exception. These are some of the best ambassadors of Davenport and Athletic Director Lowden, President Pappas, and Dr. Todd Pitts (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be proud of these 21 women."

To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the Spring semester and the Panthers were at 3.34 in their third year as a program.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
