GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The first signee for the Davenport University women's wrestling program is Hannah Becker. Becker is a standout at Forest Hills Central High School and will be hitting the mat for the inaugural season in 2020-21. She along with her teammates were able to capture the 2020 Michigan Wrestling Association's Girls High School State Championships a few weeks ago. Becker placed second in that state competition and has been a rising star in the sport having only been wrestling a short period of time. 

"With the advent of many Women's Wrestling programs for the Fall of 2020, we feel very fortunate to land a recruit like Hannah Becker," said DU head coach Jamie Boyd. "While new programs will struggle initially in building their roster, Hannah has the qualities that we are looking for to build our program and will continue to look for in all our recruits. She is very athletic and highly motivated to succeed."
