Box Score 1 CLERMONT, Fla. – The Panthers had their ace on the mound and the bats to back her. Davenport scored one run in the first, second, and fifth inning, and scored two runs in the fourth, totaling five runs in the game.
Gabby Palazzolo and
Alexis Koza each had two hits and a pair of runs in the game, giving a spark to the DU offense.
Mallory Teunissen pitched six great innings, giving up only one run in those six, and then
Emma Miller came in during the seventh to close out the game and earn the save.

Davenport was in control of the game early and never waivered. The Panthers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Griffin hit a sac fly to the left field, scoring Palazzolo. A Crawford single in the second inning scored Koza, giving DU a 2-1 lead. In the fourth inning French homered to right center, scoring herself and Koza. The two-run homer gave DU a 4-1 lead in the fourth. Davenport tacked on another run in the fifth when Pauley doubled to center field, scoring Palazzolo. The Sharks tried to make a comeback in the bottom of the seventh. They scored two runs and then Miller stepped in for DU and closed out the game. Miller earned her first save of the year and Teunissen earned her second win.
Following the game against Nova Southeastern the Panthers played an exhibition game against the Czech Republic National team.
