A Quick Look at Davenport (20-3)
With the help of now the two-time WHAC Pitcher of the Week Emily Maves, the Panthers shut out all but one of their four opponents at the Davenport Softball Classic last weekend. DU blanked Roosevelt 7-0, Judson twice 5-0 and 6-0 while holding on in game four against NCAA Division II Hillsdale 7-5. Ashleigh Blovsky had a productive weekend with the bat, going 6-for-13 with a double and a pair of home runs. She also tallied four RBI. Maves, meanwhile, tossed 14 shutout innings in her three appearances which included her first save of the season. She punched out 13 batters and only issued four free passes.

A Quick Look at Ferris State (6-21)
The Bulldogs have been out of action since their spring break trip in Clermont, Fla., nearly two weeks ago. Ferris State has lost five of its last seven contests. Davenport will be the final stop before Ferris State enters Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at Walsh and Malone this weekend. Alyssa Smith is currently hitting .291 on the season to lead the Bulldogs but Casey Bias, Kayti Carlson and Sam Bates have been the run producers, combing for 38 of Ferris State's 77 total RBI. Megan Hiler has been seeing most of the action in the pitching circle, having thrown 54 2/3 innings. She owns a 6.66 ERA and has 24 strikeouts. Cara DeLange also has tossed a lot of innigns (39.1) and carries a 3.74 ERA.
