The Title Hunt is Getting Intense
As the regular-season reaches the end in two weeks, Davenport will play three of its remaining four matches on the road starting this week at crosstown rival Cornerstone Wednesday and Madonna in a rare Friday matchup. Only four teams are contending for a WHAC regular-season crown. The Panthers, along with Marygrove and Madonna, are three points behind first-place Northwestern Ohio in the standings.

Scouting Cornerstone – 4-9-1, 2-4-1 (7 Points) – Head Coach Caleb Colp
The Golden Eagles got out of a four-match losing funk with a 3-0 road win at UM-Dearborn last Saturday. Nine different student-athletes have scored 17 of Cornerstone's goals on the year with Caleb Colp leading the way with three. Nick Hopkins has been Mark Bell's choice for the goalkeeping duties. Hopkins owns a 1.66 GAA and a .671 save percentage.

The DU-CU Beltline Rivalry
Davenport trails the all-time series with Cornerstone 5-10-2. DU took the last meeting on the Turf Field 2-1 last year. TJ Ifaturoti struck in the 31th minute and Dino Duratovic net the eventual winner 40 seconds into the second half.

Scouting Madonna – 10-4-0, 5-2-0 WHAC (15 Points) – Head Coach Mark Zathey
The Crusaders are well in the race for the WHAC regular-season title, going 5-2. The two losses were to Northwestern Ohio and Indiana Tech. Ryan Williams has been the go-to guy up front, having net 11 of Madonna's 25 goals. The Crusaders defense has been impressive this season with goalkeeper Marcel Schmid allowing only 12 goals for a 0.89 GAA.

Panthers-Crusader Series
Davenport has taken control of the all-time series with Madonna 9-7 thanks to a five-match win streak. The two clashed twice last year with DU winning the regular-season meeting 4-1 in Livonia and 2-1 in the WHAC Tournament semifinal held on the Turf Field.
