GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport University women's volleyball team made quick work of Wayne State on Saturday for its second win in a row and sixth victory in the last seven tries. The Panthers rolled past the Warriors with set scores of 25-14, 25-12 and 25-20.

How It Happened
- Davenport set the tone early as it scored five of the first six points and eight of the first 10.
- From there until the end of the set, the Warriors could never get closer than five (8-3, 9-4, 10-5, and 11-6) and the Panthers led by as many as 12 (19-7, 20-8, 21-9, and 22-10).
- The first set was Davenport's most efficient on offense with a .321 hitting percentage, but it hit better than .290 in all three including .292 in the second and .295 in the third.
- The home team's hot start continued into the second set as it scored the first three points and 11 of the first 14.
- The visitors pulled within four at 12-8 and 13-9 before Davenport ended the set on a 12-3 run to win it and go up 2-0 in the match.
- The third set was the closest as it featured three ties in the first six total points scored.
- Once it was 3-3, the Panthers reeled off nine of the next 11 points to take a seven-point advantage, 12-5.
- The Warriors cut it to six twice at 12-6 and 13-7 before the Panthers pushed their lead to 10, 17-7.
- The closest Wayne State could get after that was three, 23-20, before Davenport scored the final two points to seal the match victory.
