HOLLAND, Mich. - The Davenport men's tennis team improved to 3-1 and won for the second time this weekend with a 7-0 victory over Hope College on Saturday.
The seven points included one team point in doubles and six points by sweeping the singles.
Juan-Louis van Antwerpen and
Juan Jose Pino Contoleon were victors at one doubles 8-2 and likewise
Jonathan Bulmer and
Matt Leatherman won 8-2 at three doubles.
Daniil Khitrou and
Frank Piana III won 8-4 at two doubles.
The singles were all won in straight sets by the Panthers. van Antwerpen completed his match with a 6-0, 6-3 win at one singles. Khitrou won 7-5, 6-1 at three singles over Tyler Koran. Bulmer at four singles won 6-2, 6-0 over Matt Henkel.
Parker Keas also placed six singles and won 7-6, 6-2 over Asher Jones.
