The Davenport University men's basketball team is set to open its 2020-21 campaign on Friday after a mere 311 days without a game. The Panthers' will begin their 18-date regular season slate with a pair of home games against Northwood on Friday and Saturday, an opponent they've already seen eight times since joining the GLIAC prior to the 2017-18 season. Two of the teams' nine all-time matchups (Timberwolves lead 5-4) have come in the GLIAC Tournament, most recently of which featured an 82-70 win for Northwood that snapped a streak of five-straight wins for Davenport in the series.
Davenport (19-12, 11-9 GLIAC in 2019-20) returns its top three scorers, six of the 12 players that saw time in 2019-20 as well as 2018-19 First-Team All-GLIAC performer,
Avery Hudson (14.0 career PPG). The top two scorers from a season ago are
Chris Rollins (13.7 PPG, First-Team All-GLIAC, GLIAC All-Defensive Team) and
Evan Hines (13.2 PPG). The seven returners will be joined by
