UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Davenport University men's and women's swimming & diving teams each improved to 2-0 on Saturday as Davenport defeated Saginaw Valley State with scores of 127-110 and 126-115, respectively. The men won eight out of their 13 events while the women were victorious in seven of their 13 podiums.
"Today was a lot of fun," said head coach,
Justin Vasquez. "These were two closely matched teams that battled in the pool, so a lot of good swimming and diving happened today. I couldn't be more proud of the culture that is being built in our program. We have great leadership from our captains, our kids have great attitudes and they love to compete."
