The Davenport University men's basketball team will travel to Allendale on Tuesday night for a midweek affair against Grand Valley State with the tip-off set for 6 p.m. The Panthers are coming off their first win of the season after splitting at home against Purdue Northwest, 71-74 on Friday and 89-75 on Saturday.

Grand Valley State is led by arguably the best front court in the GLIAC and one of the best in all of Division II in GLIAC Preseason Player of the Year, Jake Van Tubbergen, and Christian Negron. Negron leads the team in both points (14.3) and rebounds per game (9.8) marks that rank tied for 11th and second in the league, respectively. The Elgin, Ill. native is also shooting a blistering 58.9 percent from the field, which is good for fourth in the conference. Alongside him, Van Tubbergen is putting up 11.8 points per contest while Deleon Brown and Jordan Harris are both averaging in double-figures as well with 11.0 and 10.8 points per game, respectively. Van Tubbergen also leads the Lakers in assists per game with 3.2.
