KENTWOOD, Mich - In their first event in program history, the Davenport University men's swimming & diving program defeated Olivet Nazarene, 107-89. Meanwhile, the women kicked off their third season by taking care of business over the Tigers as well, 136-97.
"I'm very happy with how our team competed today," said head coach,
Justin Vasquez. "We've only been in the water for 18 days, but we had some amazing swims today and some great diving. It was awesome to watch the men and women cheer each other on today. Today was a very fun day and we're happy to be back."
The men won seven of the 11 events they competed in while the women stood atop the podium in nine of their 13 events.
