NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Davenport University softball team was shut out by Trevecca Nazarene, 9-0, in six innings on Sunday as the Trojans held the Panthers to just four hits.
Davenport fell to 1-2 on the young season while Trevecca Nazarene improved to 8-0 with two more wins on Sunday.
The Panthers' four hits came from
Lindsay Goodman,
Alexis Koza (pictured),
Monica Meger (first career hit), and
Kennedy Crawford. In the circle,
Emma Miller gave up nine runs, eight earned, on 12 hits with one walk and a strikeout.
Next up for Davenport is the yearly Florida trip from Feb. 24-29. It begins with a doubleheader at Tampa (7-4, 2-1 SSC) a week from Monday at 4 p.m.
