ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Davenport put on a show against Concordia in the first game of the double header by defeating the Cardinals 9-1, but were shutout in the second game 0-2. The Panthers went 5-1 over the week and currently sit in second place in the WHAC standings. This was only the second time this season that Davenport got shutout as their bats have been hot throughout the season.

Davenport scored in bunches during this game, tallying four runs in the second and seventh inning. French scored the initial run in the first inning on a sac fly from Flores. In the second inning Pauley singled and scored
Briana Allen and Tasma. Later in the inning Brambila hit a single that scored both Rowe and Pauley. The scoring continued in the final inning as Davenport tallied three hits and scored four runs.

Davenport's bats went cold during the second game as they were held scoreless during six innings. Concordia's pitching only gave up two hits to the Panthers in this game and only walked DU once. Teunissen was solid herself on the mound, only giving up four hits and one earned run. However, the offense for DU couldn't get going in the second game and suffered their first conference loss of the season.

Davenport will play three more double headers this week. The Panthers will face UM-Dearborn on Wednesday (Home), Rochester College on Saturday (Home) and Siena Heights on Sunday (Away).
