ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Panthers traveled down to Lindenwood University in Missouri for a mini-series against the Lions. Davenport dropped both games 1-6 against the Lions.
Hunter Ellens and
Trevor Murray scored the two Panther goals. In the latest ACHA national ranking the Lions ranked 10
th and Davenport ranked 14
th.
Game 1 (Saturday, November 11)

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Davenport played solid defense in the first period, shutting out the Lions. Both teams couldn't score during the opening 20 minutes and headed into the second period tied 0-0.
-Lindenwood struck first in the second period, scoring 95 seconds into the period. Ellens responded just 16 seconds later to tie the game at 1-1, assisted by
Tyler Jaenicke. The Lions scored three more goals to end the period leading 4-1.
-In the third period Lindenwood added two more goals and Davenport couldn't score.
-Ellens had one goal and Jaenicke had the only DU assist.
-
Devin Rosema played all 60 minutes in net and recorded 32 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Panthers scored the initial goal of the game just 94 seconds in. Murray netted the DU goal on an even strength effort, assisted by
Kyle McConnell and
Connor Seymour. Lindenwood followed the DU goal with three of their own.
-The Lions added three more goals over the next two periods and shutout the Panthers after their initial goal in the first period.
-Murray scored the lone DU goal.
-McConnell and Seymour each had an assist.
-Again, Rosema played all 60 minutes in net. He had 24 saves on the night.

Davenport host the University of Michigan on November 17 and 18 for their last games during the month of November.
