WESTVILLE, Ind. – Davenport finished a six game road trip in Indiana against the Pride of Purdue University-Northwest. The Panthers swept the Pride for the second time this season and had an attacking percentage of .359. Five different players for Davenport tallied four or more kills during the match, while
Krissy Dill and
Ashley VanderHorst led the way with eight each.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-SET SCORES: 25-14, 25-17, 25-15
-Davenport served first in the opening set and scored three straight points.
Sydney Tracer had a service ace for the second point and opened the gate for three more service aces by DU during the set. Davenport got a big push in the beginning of the set when they scored six out of seven points to take a 10-5 lead. The Pride cut the lead to four points before VanderHorst served for five straight points to give Davenport a 23-13 lead. The set winning point was a block assist by
Laura Bouwkamp and
Jessica Marvin.
-The second set was a more even battle. The two teams were tied 13-13 and then the Panthers went on a 12-4 run to end the set. Davenport scored the last five points of the match to give themselves a two set lead heading into the break.
-A big seven point run early in the set boosted Davenport to a six-point lead over the Pride. Davenport never let Purdue University-Northwest get in a groove as the Pride only had three multiple points runs and none of them were longer than two points.
Kasey Stehouwer served for two straight points to finish up the match and give DU the sweep.
