HOW IT HAPPENED
-SET SCORES: 16-25, 21-25, 25-19, 24-26
-In the first set Tiffin rode a long point streak at the end to victory. After a kill by Krissy Dill the Dragons held a 19-16 lead. Tiffin went on to score six unanswered points for the set win.
-Again, Davenport was in the set towards the end, cutting the lead down to one point after a service ace by Jenna Asper. The Dragons responded with three straight points to take a two set lead.
-Davenport turned the tide in the third set, hitting a blistering .342 as a team. The Panthers gained momentum when they scored four straight points to take an 18-13 lead. Over the remainder of the set Davenport only gave up back to back points to the Dragons once, holding on to their lead to take a 25-19 set win.
-The fourth set was an even battle, as both teams showed how badly they wanted to win. Davenport had a couple key stretches to give them a chance late in the set. After getting down 11-16 DU scored five of the next six points to bring the lead down to one point. Shortly after, the Panthers went on a six-point spree, that was capped off by a block by Charlie Smith, to take a 22-19 lead. Dragons had a chance to win the match when the score was 23-24, but Laura Bouwkamp extended the set into extra points with her kill to even up the score at 24 all. Tiffin won the next two points to wrap up the match.
