LIVONIA, Mich.  – After opening WHAC play on Wednesday with a win over Siena Heights, the No. 24 ranked volleyball team carried the momentum unto the Julie Martin Memorial Classic hosted by Madonna University to post a pair of sweeps over Windsor and Rochester. The Panthers will face Saint Xavier (Ill.) and Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) on Saturday to conclude the busy week.

Match 1 – Davenport 3, Windsor 0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-15)

Hannah Stone got her day started in a big way with 10 kills to lead the Panthers to an easy win over the Lancers. DU hit just .216 as a team but they posted a team high 10.0 team blocks highlighted by nine assist blocks from Stone.

Amber Getty dished out 24 assists while Morgan Torres led the way with 10 digs.

Match 2 – Davenport 3, Rochester 0 (25-15, 25-9, 25-10)

The Panthers finished the night with a bang as they posted a new school record for attack percentage (.482) which is 27 points higher than the previous mark set in 2008. Hannah Stone led the way with 15 kills on 21 attempts with no errors (.714) while Marcey DeHaan finished with 13 kills and hit at a .500 clip.

Amber Getty posted 36 assists while Lexie Spetoskey and Morgan Torres matched each other with nine digs.

Davenport will play Saint Xavier (Ill.) at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before facing No. RV Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) at 3 p.m.
