No. 10 Men’s Basketball Looks to Rebound Tuesday vs. Northwestern Ohio

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport University will enter rare territory on Tuesday as they will enter their contest with Northwestern Ohio looking to rebound from a loss inside the Student Center. The No. 10 ranked Panthers were dealt a 59-55 setback against Lourdes on Saturday which was just the 10th loss in the six-year history of the building. The Panthers and Racers will tip around 8 p.m. or shortly following the women's contest.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio – 4-3, 2-1 WHAC – Head coach Chris Adams (7th Year)
Northwestern Ohio and 7th year head coach Chris Adams comes into Tuesday's contest with an overall record of 4-3 while they are 2-1 in league action. The Racers have defeated Siena Heights and Lawrence Tech in the WHAC while their only defeat is to Cornerstone (84-81). Leading the offense in 2013-14 has been Ed Jenkins who is averaging 16.8 points per game while Johnny Elliott (14.8) and Derrick Tate (12.5) are also averaging double-figures and as a team, the Racers are putting up 74.0 points per game while allowing 71.0. So far this season, Northwestern Ohio is 2-2 on the road but are coming off a 66-58 win over Siena Heights in Adrian.

Success Against Teams from Ohio
Davenort is 13-3 all-time against teams from the Buckeye state as they are 6-0 against UNOH, 5-1 against Lourdes and 1-0 against Miami-Hamilton and Ohio Christian. DU's two other losses have come against Defiance College.

Davenport swept a pair of meetings against the Racers as they won by 12 on the road and by 10 at home (64-54 on January 23). DU has won all six meetings against the Racers and have held them under 70 points in all of the matchups.
