Robert Barrett

Robert Barrett joined the Panther staff in the fall of 2020. 

He spent the last four years as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Carleton College (NCAA D3). He was responsible for all 18 varsity sports as well as teaching a beginning weight training course.

Prior to coming to Carleton, Barrett served as assistant strength and conditioning coach at Texas A&M-Kingsville (NCAA D2), where he worked with the baseball, football and track and field/cross country programs. Before starting at Texas A&M-Kingsville, he was at Frostburg State University in Maryland from 2014-2016 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.

Barrett started in collegiate strength and conditioning as a graduate assistant and intern at Oregon State University in 2013, where he assisted with football, women's cross country/track and field, men's basketball and baseball.

He earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Western Oregon University in 2010 and was a four-year member of the track and field squad, specializing in the shot put and hammer throw. He earned an NSCA Strength and Conditioning specialist certification in 2012 and completed his master's in exercise physiology from Eastern Michigan University in 2014.
