Sobieck, a Michigan Professional Golf Association (PGA) member for 23 years, is in his second season as an assistant for head coach, Joe Hatch's coaching staff. Sobieck has spent much of his career (18 years) as the General Manager and one of the owners of Thornapple Pointe Golf Club in Grand Rapids, Mich. He recently changed roles and is now the General Manager for Watermark Properties' seven golf facilities located throughout West Michigan.
Chris played golf collegiately at Eastern Michigan and was an All-State golfer in high school at Walled Lake Western. He currently serves as the head coach for the girls' junior varsity golf team at Forest Hills Central High School and has been coaching high school and collegiate golfers for over 20 years.
Chris and his wife Keri have two children; Mackenzie, a recent graduate and member of the Davenport University women’s golf team, and Christopher, who is attending Western Michigan and is part of the Air Force ROTC program.
"I have a strong belief in incorporating the integrity associated with golf into everyday life and work hard to build up individual confidence through the sport," said Sobieck. "I'm excited to bring my golf experience to help others improve their game and compete at the highest level."
