Chris Taborn enters his first season as an assistant coach under Paige Eli in the fall of 2020 and will coach the goalkeepers. Taborn comes to Davenport after two seasons as a men's assistant at his alma mater, Olivet Nazarene of the NAIA. The former Tiger student-athlete has also been the owner/director of the Tiger Goalkeeping Academy (TGA) and coached the Chicago Fire Juniors as well as the Oak Forest High School varsity girls' team as an assistant.
As a goalkeeper for the Tigers, Taborn was the most player decorated at that position in school history. For ONU, Taborn was a two-time All-CCAC performer while leading the Tigers to a pair of CCAC Regular Season Championships, two CCAC Tournament Championships and three NAIA National Tournament appearances.
Taborn also has several certifications including a Goalkeeper Level 1 Diploma, 2018 (United Soccer Coaches), Goalkeeper Level 2 Diploma, 2019 (United Soccer Coaches), Level F Diploma, 2016 (Us Soccer Federation), Grass Roots Coaching Certification, 2018, and a 7V7 Coaching Certificate, 2018.
