John Lyne joins the bench for the women's hockey team in the 2015-2016 season. The Wyoming, Michigan resident comes to Davenport after a three-year run at Northern Illinois University as the head coach for the ACHA Division III men's program from 2011-2013. He has also served as front desk and rink manager from 2002-2010 at Seven Bridges Ice Arena in Woodridge, Illinois. Lyne graduated from NIU in May 2009 with a bachelor's degree in corporate communications and in August 2012 with a master's degree in sport management. Lyne currently works as a Michigan Field Solutions Specialist for BuildingPoint Midwest based out of Aurora, Illinois.
