High School: Prepped at Metamora (Ill.) under coach Steve Danner...cleared 15 feet in the pole vault...had a best of 6' 2" in the high jump...named a Mid-Illini All-Conference pick and was a state meet participant as a sophomore and junior...team won four consecutive conference championships.

Personal: Majoring in biology...son of Miles and Ronda McKelvey...born July 29...favorite movie is The Dark Knight Rises.
