High School: Prepped at Kelloggsville High School under coach Dan Galster...ran the 400 meter in an estimated 52 seconds...ran the 800 meter in 2:08...named All-Conference as a junior/senior...team won the conference championship during junior and senior season.

Personal: Son of Jeff and Ruth Butts...majoring in business...favorite movie is the Fast & Furious series...born on August 2.
