Ken Mance joined the coaching staff at Davenport University as an Assistant Coach with the Men’s Rugby program starting December 2016. Prior to joining the DU staff, Mance was the Head Coach at the University of Louisville Men’s Rugby program, where he managed all aspects of rugby operations. During his time with the Cardinals, he advanced the program from a lower Division 3 program to a competitive DI-AA program.
Mance brings over 20 years of high level coaching experience with high school, women’s and collegiate rugby programs. Mance was the head coach for multiple high-level, state and regional collegiate & high school All-Star Programs in Michigan & Kentucky from 2003-2014.
Throughout his coaching career, he has created and managed State and National Championship contending teams and successfully assisted multiple players in reaching All-American status and playing on USA National Teams.
Mance has a professional career as a Senior Human Resources Manager where he manages all aspects of operations in human resources department activities for 1,500 employees at multiple sites and states.
