Brian Kotowicz joined head coach, Joe Hatch's coaching staff prior to the 2019-20 season and brings 20+ years of coaching experience to the DU men's golf program. Kotowicz spent 18+ years as the Head Golf Professional at Thornapple Pointe Golf Club right here in Grand Rapids and has been a Professional Golf Association (PGA) Professional since 1999. He won the Adult Player Development Award for Program of the Year in 2017 and began teaching at Thousand Oaks Golf Club, also in Grand Rapids, in 2018.
A Ferris State graduate, Kotowicz earned his bachelor's degree in marketing in 1998, specializing in professional golf management. He has been playing since the age of five while developing and refining his teaching style through a life spent in the golf industry.
