Jamerson is a native of Muncie, Indiana and graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor's degree in physical education. His four-year playing career saw the Lakers compile a record of 110-20 which included two trips to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight and exhibition wins over NCAA Division I opponents Detroit and Michigan State. Jamerson was named First Team All-American in 2008 and graduated as the program's fourth all-time leading scorer. He also leads GVSU with three-pointers made and was fifth in steals. After his collegiate career, Jamerson played five years of professional basketball overseas. He played three years in Germany and had one-year stints in France and Morocco.
Coach Paddock commented, "I am proud to have coached Jason for four years at GVSU and even more excited to coach with him here at Davenport. Jason's basketball successes are many and we look forward to those successes and his vast knowledge of the game to help our program as we move forward. Jason will contribute in a multitude of ways but having played in our program at GVSU, it has allowed him to understand what expectations are on a daily basis and have allowed him to hit the ground running here at DU. There is no doubt the addition of Jason to our basketball family will make for a greater experience for the players and coaches alike."
