Will is a graduate of Davenport University with an associate degree in Medical Assisting and also earned his bachelor of arts and sciences in history and political science at Western Michigan University.
Gordillo has been involved with the Grand Rapids Youth Performing Arts since September 2008. He is a percussion representative and serves on the board for the development of percussion studies for both the Genesis and G2 percussion ensembles serving the West Michigan area. He also manages the educational staff, approves annual budgets and recruits staff and members to enhance the GRYPA.
"I am very honored to be a part of Davenport University marching band's inaugural season as its director. I am also excited to embark on this adventure to create a memorable and cutting edge marching band for a great university," said Gordillo.
In addition, Gordillo is the director of percussion at Godwin Heights Public Schools which began this year. He directs the educational direction of the K-12 percussion program and co-designs the marching band shows.
