Weir enters his 8th year as a full-time assistant coach for Davenport’s Track &Field/Cross Country teams. Here at DU, Weir oversees (including program writing, strength and conditioning, academics, and
recruiting) all the jumps, hurdles, and multi-events. The athletes he oversees currently hold 26 of the 28 indoor and outdoor school records at DU. He has successfully guided his group of student-athletes to a
combined GPA of 3.2 or better every year, with many making the Dean's and President's list.

Weir also brings to DU four and a half years of coaching experience from Illinois Wesleyan University. He was the assistant coach for the pole vault, high jump, hurdles, and multi-events in his stint with the Titans as well as being in charge of the strength and conditioning program for those events.

He is an ISSA certified strength and conditioning coach and holds a USATF Level 1 and Level 2 Jumps Certification.
Weir’s background is in Sports and Health Sciences from the American Public University and dietetics from the University of Wisconsin Stout and is originally from Princeton, WI.
