AUSTIN, Texas - The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America award list was released today and
Patrick McMahon earned First Team Academic All-American honors in NCAA Division II football.
The 26 CoSIDA Academic All-America Division II football first team members hold a composite 3.82 undergraduate GPA. Ten first team honorees hold a 3.94 or better cumulative GPA.Â
McMahon was one of four defensive linemen to receive this prestigious award on the first team and was one of just two players from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) to be named to the first team.
McMahon is an accounting major at Davenport and has 27 games under his belt as a Panther and played in seven contests during the 2019 season. He compiled 22 tackles including 3.5 tackles for loss. McMahon recorded six tackles back on April 9 at home against Gannon as the Panthers played two games this past spring.
